When it comes to fashion and the beauty industry well the two can be relentless in their quest or rather drive for perfection

The perfect shot - the perfect brand - the perfect life! In a world of filters and photoshopped photos -. it's easy to become disillusioned by it all

But sometimes in the pursuit of all this perfection we miss the real BEAUTY!

Thankfully we have incredible photographers such as Peter Lindbergh and brands like Pirelli to remind us that beauty is not always the perfect hair, makeup or light but in the rawness and vulnerability of shedding your true self to the world

Peter captures this raw essence of beauty by using minimal makeup and aesthetics in his photographs.

The Pirelli Calendar is the ultimate collaboration between incredible world renown photographers and it's therefore no surprise that they've chosen to work with Peter Lindbergh for their 2017 Pirelli Calendar

I was lucky enough to attend the launch party in New York at the stunning Cipriani's on Wall Street - where i met with Peter and asked hime about his inspiration and muses for this latest artwork - in the Calendar we worked with Nicole Kidman - Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz just to name a few!

The 2017 calendar “conveys personality, sensitivity and the guts to be yourself”, Peter Lindbergh explained at the international press launch of the new calendar in Paris. The German photographer has called the creation "Emotional", emphasizing how his aim was "not shoot a calendar about perfect bodies but to capture sensitivity and emotion, laying bare the souls of the women in the images, rendering them more naked that a nude."
