Basically you request that one or more people be your companion on your route home. They don't even have to have the app, but they can track your live progress on the map. The user enters the destination and your friend can see where you are if your pace changes or you go off track your friend is notified and you need to confirm everything is AOK - it can even alert the police - now there is good innovation! I know who I want to be my next companion :)
